Perhaps not in all cases, but this animation - and in particular the creation of it - learned me a lot about this work. I made it myself, yes, but like a book, it wrote itself. The making of the static painting brought me to thoughts about Plato, Mondriaan, the first artists as in the cave in Altamira. Then I started to isolate the objects in PhotoShop (only with Artist Intelligence, by the way)...

First there was art, then there was light. The artist came into existance before there was art supply. Circumstances like a cave are found.

More thoughts:

Is art being discovered, or created? Art is not something exclusively human. It reflects a stage of evolution if a species recognises art or not. Basically, a bee flies to the first flower, but the flower has to stand out in the field. Attraction seems to be a key. Call it subjective beauty. It is everywhere and important here, it is in every living cell.

What if bees ould paint? (Perhaps they can.) They would teach the baby bees about flowers by making drawings on the walls in the hive. But in stead, teaching goes by nature. However, we humans discovered drawings as a communication tool. Art speaks to us. Although we do not always understand or appreciate it. I often don't understand my own work, or I can only explain it afterwards.

Art is the way to survive. And art will always be there.
